The survey may be new but the leader of the field in the Toronto mayoral horse race is the same.

According to Mainstreet Research, Olivia Chow has the support of 32% of respondents whose minds are made up.

The widow of the late Jack Layton has a 16% point lead over Ana Bailao.

Mike Saunders close behind at 12%.

Rounding out the top eight are Josh Matlow 10%, then Anthony Furey leads the next group in single digits with 9%, followed by Mitzie Hunter 7%, while Brad Bradford and Chloe Brown are tied at 4%.

Less than 20% are undecided.

Pollster says when that number drops below 10% and if no one has really broken out at that point, he thinks that’s when he’ll be able to say ”it’s not enough to catch Olivia Chow.”

He suspects Torontonians will probably have an idea in the next week.
