Brad Bradford says it isn’t a scare tactic, telling Toronto voters Olivia Chow will hike property taxes by 20-percent to pay for her promises.

Bradford was a guest with The Morning Zoom with Sam and Jane on Wednesday morning.

As one of the top six mayoral candidates, Bradford says he wants Toronto residents to know he actually is the better choice than frontrunner Olivia Chow.

“With all respect to Olivia, she’s been out of this space for quite a while and I’m hearing from thousands of Torontonians everyday that we don’t need yesterday’s leaders for today’s problems and challenges. We need folks who are plugged in, engaged and understand issues of affordability,” Bradford explained, “And the answer to the affordability crisis, is not to jack peoples’ taxes by double digits.”

Ana Bailao also started the campaign day early with her plans to bolster arts in Toronto.

Ana Bailao joins Brad Bradford, Olivia Chow, Josh Matlow, and Mitzie Hunter for a noon hour debate on housing at George Brown College’s waterfront campus.

This same group, along with Mark Saunders, will debate the issues affecting Scarborough at U of T’s Scarborough campus this evening.
