It’s been two weeks since nearly 1,000 employees, represented by the Public Service Alliance of Canada at Casino Woodbine were locked out by their employer, beginning on May 8th.

The lockout came after members of the union voted to reject an offer from One Toronto Gaming.

The main issues for the PSAC members include: guaranteed part-time hours, more full-time positions, sick leave benefits and better wages.

Most of the jobs are table dealers, cleaning staff and cashiers.

Casino Woodbine has continued to operate 24/7 slot machines, table games as well as live and simulcast racing at the racetrack.
