King Charles is just hours away from being officially crowned after an appearance on British rail and in subway stations.

In a recorded announcement, the King and Queen Camilla are reminding millions to ‘mind the gap’ on train platforms this weekend.

The King begins by telling passengers: ‘My wife and I wish you and your families a wonderful coronation weekend.’  Then Camilla says: ‘Wherever you are travelling, we hope you have a safe and pleasant journey.’ The message concludes with Charles adding: ‘And remember, please mind the gap.’  The gap is the space between the train and the platform.

The chief executive of the Rail Delivery Group, which represents Britain’s rail industry says the message will be played in all 2,500-hundred UK railway stations and London’s tube system through the coronation weekend.
