Toronto’s Pearson Airport is warning of possible delays as federal public employees protest outside the airport.

In a Tweet, the airport advised passengers to give extra time to account for possible disruptions.

“Passengers travelling through Pearson today are advised of the demonstration that may cause delays in accessing the airport.”

The airport demonstration is part of the Public Service Alliance of Canada’s escalation actions to pressure the government to address key bargaining issues.

Close to 500 public servants began picketing outside the airport mid morning on Thursday.

The Greater Toronto Airports Authority said there are minor disruptions in our departures curbside areas.
