TORONTO PUBLIC HEALTH OFFICIALS INVESTIGATE A CONFIRMED CASE OF ''TRAVEL-RELATED'' MEASLES

Public Health is following up with the person’s known contacts who may have been exposed to the virus.
In addition, members of the public may have been exposed in these settings on the following dates.
April 14 and 15 at Toronto Western Hospital’s emergency department ambulatory waiting room.
April 18 at Harbourfront Apple Tree Medical Clinic.
April 19 at Toronto General Hospital emergency department rapid assessment centre. 
April 20 and 21st at Toronto General’s Tropical Diseases/Liver/Immuno-deficiency clinic waiting room and blood collection diagnostic test centre.
Public Health is advising anyone who may have been exposed to check their immunization records to ensure they and their family members have two doses of measles vaccinations.
Symptoms include a high fever, cold-like symptoms, red eyes and a red rash lasting four to seven days.
