'DANCING WITH THE STARS' JUDGE LEN GOODMAN DIES AT 78

Len Goodman, a long-time judge on “Strictly Come Dancing” and “Dancing with the Stars,” has passed away at the age of 78.

Goodman ”passed away  peacefully,”’ according to agent Jackie Gill, without elaborating.

Goodman, a former dancer, served as a judge on “Strictly Come Dancing” for 12 years starting in 2004 when it debuted on the BBC.

The ballroom dancing competition, which pairs celebrities with professional dance partners, became one of the network’s most popular shows.

Prior to his retirement in November, Goodman served as top judge on the American version of the program, “Dancing With the Stars,” for 15 years.

Goodman was also honoured with the Carl Alan Award in recognition of outstanding contributions to dance.
