She loved living and leading Mississauga for decades. Now, the former home of Mississauga’s Hazel McCallion is on the market for about $3 million.
The broker says it’s obvious why “Hurricane Hazel” made it her home and sanctuary.
The two-storey home sits on a nearly half-acre property in Mississauga’s East Credit neighbourhood, surrounded by trees and a nearby river.
It has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a pool and boasts beautiful gardens. There are six parking spaces, including a two-car garage.
McCallion served as mayor of Mississauga from 1978 to 2014 and died in January at 101.
The home is plain and simple, in keeping with Hazel’s style.
