Vladimir Putin’s Russian forces have unleashed “a massive rocket attack” that hit critical infrastructure and residential buildings in 10 regions of Ukraine including in the west.

Residential buildings were also hit in the northeastern city of Kharkiv and the southern port city of Odesa.

And at least six people were killed in the Lviv and Dnipro regions.

Overnight, Ukrainian officials reported multiple explosions from Russian missile attacks in cities across the country.

Several people were killed and many others wounded in this latest round of Russian attacks.

It comes as the fight for the city of Bakhmut continues, with Ukrainian forces holding on.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described the barrage that came while many people slept as an attempt by Moscow “to intimidate Ukrainians again.”

The mayor of Kyiv reports heat has been cut off for almost half the consumers in the capital, while power is out at the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant.
