TRUDEAU: ARRIVECAN APP DEVELOPMENT ''SEEMS HIGHLY ILLOGICAL AND INEFFICIENT''

After the federal government reportedly paid $44-million over two years to a two-person company in Ottawa for work related to the ArriveCan app, the company, GCstrategies; then paid six other companies to actually do the work, while keeping a commission of between 15% and 30%.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says he’s asked the country’s top civil servant to investigate after the report raised questions about why either the public service could not hire those companies directly or do the work in-house.”
”Obviously this is a practice that seems highly illogical and inefficient,” adds Trudeau.
”I have made sure the Clerk of the Privy Council is looking into procurement practices to make sure that we’re getting value for money and that we’re doing things in a smart and logical way.”
