Ukraine’s Interior Minister Denys Monastyrskyi, his deputy, and a state secretary have been killed in a helicopter crash that killed 11 others including one child.
It happened in Brocary, just outside the Ukrainian capital.
A further 29 are injured including 15 children in a kindergarten class near the crash site.
Early official reports gave a different number of casualties, including a higher death toll.
The helicopter was flying towards frontline regions in eastern Ukraine and the crash is now under investigation.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described the fatal helicopter crash as “a terrible tragedy” adding the death of Monastyrskyi and the two other senior officials was a “great loss” for the country.
