In his much anticipated new memoir, Prince Harry apparently alleges his brother Prince William lashed out and physically attacked him during a furious argument in 2019.
The Guardian reported the claims this week saying it obtained an advance copy of the book.
In the book called Spare set to be released next week, Harry says in 2019 William came to his London home wanting to talk about their declining relationship, but in the conversation, William called Harry’s wife Meghan “difficult”, “rude”, and “abrasive”.
Harry says he told William he wasn’t being rational and then claimed William “grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace and knocked me to the floor. I lay there for a moment dazed then got to my feet and told him to get out.”
Harry says he was left with a visible back injury. And according to Harry, William apologized and said, “you don’t need to tell Meg about this.”
Harry says he responded with “you mean that you attacked me?” William then apparently retorted, “I didn’t attack you Harold.”
Spare is released in Canada on Tuesday.
