After two days of cancellations due to a C-N derailment, Via Rail is resuming train service between Toronto and Ottawa or Montreal today.
Via cancelled trains yesterday but plan on running a modified schedule today which means the typical 28 trips will be consolidated into 14.
Via says “Due to expected congestion on these routes, we would like to advise our passengers that trains might incur significant delays at departure and/or en route.”
Meantime, thousands of Canadians are still waiting for their power to be restored as hydro crews continue working to repair outages caused by last week’s fierce winter storms.
