It was probably the most memorable movie of 1982.

And it still resonates today.

One very lucky and wealthy ‘E.T.’ fan has bought the coolest piece of memorabilia from the film for their collecton.

The one-of-a-kind original mechatronic model — used to bring the alien to life — has sold for $2.5 million at a Julien’s Auction.

It’s the actual piece that was used as the #1 filming model main character in Stephen Spielberg’s classic “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.”

The BMX bike used by the stunt rider for the legendary bicycle scenes sold for more than $115,000; three times more than than the organizers expected.
