The stars were out in Toronto last night with honours on the Canadian Walk of Fame.
Juno award-winning R-&-B singer Deborah Cox says her recognition at this year’s Canada’s Walk of Fame gala event underscores the importance of representation.
Cox adds she hopes it will help inspire other Black musicians.
The winners were honoured for excellence in their respective fields, and each will get stars in Toronto’s entertainment district near the Princess of Wales Theatre.
Others inducted include Indigo founder Heather Reisman, comedy content creator Just for Laughs, and rock band The Tragically Hip.
