CANADA'S MEN'S TEAM LOSES FINAL WORLD CUP GROUP STAGE MATCH

The Canadian men’s soccer team lost 2-1 to Morocco in its final match.
That leaves this country winless at the World Cup for the second time in 36 years.
Morocco jumped to a 2-0 lead after 23 minutes before Canada benefited from an own goal to cut the lead in half at the break.
Morocco clinched top spot in Group F with the win and a 0-0 draw between Belgium and Croatia.
Appearing at its second World Cup and first since 1986, Canada was already eliminated from knockout-stage contention after losing to Belgium and Croatia.
The tournament in 2026 will be jointly hosted by 16 cities in North America, including Toronto and Vancouver.
Mexican host cities include Mexico City, Monterrey and Guadalajara.
The host American cities include Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Miami, New York/New Jersey, Philadelphia, San Francisco Bay area, and Seattle.
