A day after Moscow launched yet another deadly missile strike on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, the mayor of Kyiv claims that 70% of the Ukrainian capital is still without electricity.

On Thursday, the mayor indicated that engineers were working hard to restore energy as soon as possible, noting that the water supply has been restored in about half of Kyiv on the left bank of the Dnieper River.

A fresh Russian assault on Ukrainian infrastructure resulted in widespread power outages, further destabilizing the already fragile power grid and aggravating the suffering of civilians as the temperature drops.

The strikes by Russia came as its military has seen defeats on the battlefield in the conflict it started nine months ago.

Amid this, Dr. Hans Kluge, the World Health Organization’s European director is speaking out against Russian strikes on Ukrainian health-care facilities.

Kluge has recently toured several hospitals in the city of Dnipro.

He says attacks on health-care facilities is a clear breach of international law.
