Publishers of Bob Dylan’s latest book are offering refunds to those who purchased hand-signed editions, admitting they used autopen technology.

Simon & Schuster originally announced that 900 copies of  ‘The Philosophy of Modern Song’ had been personally autographed by Dylan and at first, refused to own up to it when fans discovered though online photos that their copies looked suspiciously alike. The books arrived earlier this month with a letter from the CEO verifying for the signature’s authenticity.

As a result, the publisher is offering refunds to those who purchased a $600 special edition of the book.
