After first reaching out with an offer to meet Friday, Metrolinx has now agreed to move it up by one day.
Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1587 President Rob Cormier says this was accomplished after the union kept pushing to meet as soon as possible.
The strike by 2,200 workers including bus drivers, station attendants, fare inspectors and others, started Monday.
It’s shut down regional bus service across the Greater Golden Horseshoe.
The union’s accused Metrolinx of not tabling a written offer in last-minute weekend talks to address key issues.
Metrolinx says it did not have enough time to prepare a response to new issues raised by the union before the strike started.
