She was the foodie author behind “Julie and Julia.”

Julie Powell became an internet star after blogging for a year about making every recipe in Julia Child’s “Mastering the Art of French Cooking.”

That effort led to a book deal and eventually to the 2009 movie starring Amy Adams as Julie and Meryl Streep as Julia.

Julie Powell has died at her home in New York State of cardiac arrest.

She was 49.
