According to Ukrainian military officials, Russian troops are transferring a sizable number of sick and injured soldiers from hospitals in the Kherson region of southern Ukraine.

Invading Russian military took the area early on in the conflict, and Ukrainian forces are battling to recapture it.

According to prior reports, the Kremlin-installed authorities in the area fled Kherson with the civilian populace.

In a nightly video message, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy claimed that the Russians were “dismantling the entire health care system” in Kherson and other unconstitutionally acquired regions.

In another incident on Saturday, a major Crimean port saw damage to at least one Russian ship. Russian and Ukrainian accounts of what occurred differed.
