According to South Korean officials, during Halloween celebrations in the nation’s capital Seoul, some 50 people suffered cardiac arrest and a number of others were presumed dead after being trampled by a big crowd pressing forward on a small roadway.
Around 100 individuals were reportedly hurt during the crowd surge on Saturday night in the Itaewon leisure area, according to a National Fire Agency spokesman.
Numerous individuals received CPR on Itaewon streets, according to the police, while many more were transported to near-by hospitals.
In a statement, South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol urged officials to guarantee that individuals who were hurt received prompt medical attention and to assess the festival locations’ security.
