Adidas has ended its partnership with Ye, the hip-hop artist formerly known as Kanye West, due to his offensive and antisemitic remarks.

In a statement issued Tuesday, the German sportswear company stated that it “does not tolerate antisemitism or any other type of hate speech,” and called Ye’s recent comments and actions “unacceptable, hateful, and dangerous.”

It comes after Adidas was under pressure to cut ties with Ye, with celebrities and others urging the company to do so on social media.

The company announced at the beginning of the month that it was reviewing its lucrative sneaker deal with the rapper.

Adidas is the latest company to cut ties with Ye, who has also been barred from using Twitter and Instagram.

Ye’s agent has dropped him, and a finished documentary about him has been put on hold.

The talent agency CAA confirms that it has parted ways with the music producer.

Meanwhile, MRC Entertainment executives say they will not release a documentary about Ye, despite the fact that it is finished, because “we cannot support any content that amplifies his platform.”

According to Women’s Wear Daily, French fashion house Balenciaga recently severed ties with Ye.
