Here’s a name that Zoomers, who remember the folk music revival of the late 50s and early 60s, haven’t heard in a while.  Ramblin’ Jack Elliott.

He’s now 91, one of the last of his era and still on the road.

Back in the day, he studied with Woody Guthrie, inspired Bob Dylan,  hung out with Jack Kerouac and worked alongside so many folk icons that he became one himself.

He’s released nearly two dozen albums since 1956 and was recognized with a Grammy in 1995.

This week, Ramblin’ Jack played the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. He now has a run of concerts scheduled followed by a tribute to the late John Prine.

Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, still going strong at 91.
