An 81-year-old Nova Scotia man missing since Friday is believed to have been swept out to sea during post-tropical storm Fiona.

Police say he was last seen Friday evening and a weekend search has since ended.

A 73-year-old woman in Port aux Basques, Newfoundland died after a storm surge flooded her home and swept her out to sea. And preliminary findings are pointing toward a generator as the cause of another possible Fiona-related fatality.

Power is still out to 266,000 homes and businesses across Atlantic Canada and some utilities are warning it could take days to restore electricity.

Meantime, Environment Canada has issued rainfall warnings for the Burgeo and Port aux Basques areas of Newfoundland that it warns could affect the cleanup from post-tropical storm Fiona.
Most areas included in the warning will see 40 to 70 millimetres of rain between tonight and Wednesday morning.Up to 100 millimetres is expected in the heaviest showers.
Forecasters warn localized flooding is possible in low-lying areas and that heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.
