The NDP is the first out of the gate with an attack ad against Pierre Poilievre.

The 30 second video with text and music, attempts show the new Conservative leader is “not in it for you”.

The ad  —sent to party donors and circulating on social media— asks: “Who is the real Pierre Poilievre?”

The video claims Poilievre is a friend of big business and the corporate elite and that he’s received contributions from those who profited off the housing crisis.

It ends by saying Poilievre has voted against having a federal minimum wage twice.

Meantime, a new survey suggests more Canadians would vote Conservative than Liberal if a federal election were held today.

But Justin Trudeau remains the preferred choice to keep leading the country compared to Poilievre.
