In London Friday, The British government temporarily stopped people from joining the line to file past Queen Elizabeth’s coffin after the wait for those at the back hit 14 hours.

A live tracker of the queue said it was “at capacity” and entry would be “paused” for six hours.

King Charles the Third and the Queen Consort Camilla are in Wales Friday to conclude their tour of the four U.K. Nations.

A prayer service at Cardiff’s Llandaff Cathedral is among the stops.

King Charles is also to receive condolences from the Welsh parliament.

In Ottawa meantime, a special session of the House of Commons resumes at 10am Friday in honour of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Members of Parliament who did not have the opportunity to offer their tributes before the House rose Thursday night will be able to do so Friday.

There are 15 individuals in the Canadian delegation who will attend the Queen’s state funeral in London on Monday.

Prime Minister Trudeau departs on a flight to London Friday morning.

He, along with Governor General Mary Simon and their spouses are leading the delegation, which will also include former governors-general Michaelle Jean and David Johnston, as well as former prime ministers Stephen Harper, Kim Campbell, Paul Martin and Jean Chretien.

The Queen’s state funeral is scheduled to start Monday morning at 6 o’clock eastern time.
