Zoomers may find this hard to believe, but one of the most watched and beloved shows in TV history is about to turn 50.
The Emmy-winning series, “M*A*S*H” debuted 50 years ago Saturday.
It first aired September 17th, 1972 and followed the movie (which starred Canadian actor Donald Southerland).
The show was set during the Korean War and followed the doctors and nurses of the 4-0-7-7 Mobile Army Surgical Hospital.
It was on the air until 1983. That year, a record 105-million viewers tuned into the show’s finale.
