The former U.S. federal appellate judge and Attorney General whose criminal investigation led to former U.S. President Bill Clinton’s impeachment, has died.
Ken Starr passed away at a hospital in Houston, Texas of complications from surgery.
During a five hear period in the 1990’s, Starr looked into a number of matters involving Clinton, including the president’s sexual encounters with White House intern Monica Lewinsky.
House Republicans impeached Clinton, but he was acquitted in a Senate trial.
In 2020, Starr was recruited to help represent Donald Trump in his presidential impeachment trial.
