Paul Sorvino who seemed to always portray a cop, like New York sergeant Phil Cerreta on ”Law & Order” or a crook, like Paulie Cicero in ”Goodfellas,” has died of natural causes at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida.
He was 83.
Sorvino had dealt with health issues the past few years.
While his entertainment career spanned over 50 years, his passions were painting, poetry and opera.
Musically inclined from a young age, Sorvinno attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York where he was drawn to the theatre.
He made his Broadway debut in ”Bajour” in 1964 and six years later in Carl Reiner’s film ”Where’s Poppa?”
