Apparently Jason Reitman’s version of Ghostbusters is going to spawn a sequel.

Sony Pictures has announced that a sequel to “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” will hit theatres on December 20th of 2023.

Afterlife was directed by the son of Toronto’s Ivan Reitman, who directed the original in 1984.

Jason Reitman has confirmed that the sequel will return to the series original home of New York City.

“Afterlife” was shot mostly in Alberta.

Ivan Reitman died in February of this year at the age of 75.
