The U.S. House committee investigating the 2021 Capitol insurrection is calling a surprise hearing Tuesday (scheduled for 1p.m.) to present evidence it says it recently obtained.
It’s footage of then-president Donald Trump and his inner circle taken before as well as after January 6, 2021 from British filmmaker Alex Holder.
Holder has said he’d complied with a congressional subpoena to turn all of the footage he took in the final weeks of Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign.
It’s unclear if that’s the subject of tomorrow’s hearing or if Holder will appear before the nine-member panel.
After members on the panel said last week there would be no more hearings until July, word of tomorrow’s hearing is leading to speculation of possible new bombshells.
