Two of the four main party leaders in the Ontario election campaign have tested positive for COVID-19.

Green Party Leader Mike Schreiner says he’s COVID positive after doing a rapid test.

And Andrea Horvath has also released a statement saying she tested positive for COVID on Thursday morning.

The NDP leader’s statement goes on to say “We’ve been doing our best to keep everyone safe, and I’ll keep doing that by staying in isolation.”

Over the next few days, we were scheduled to go to Sault Ste. Marie, Thunder Bay, Kenora, Sandy Lake First Nation and North Bay, and I was really looking forward to it. We’ll have to make some adjustments, but I’ll continue to connect with people however I can.

Stay safe, and take care of each other, and I’ll see you all on Zoom.”

Andrea Horwath had been scheduled to be in northern Ontario Thursday.

While Horwath does not say how she’s feeling, Mike Schreiner’s statement says he is fully vaccinated and feeling fine.
