On the day before advance voting begins, PC Leader Doug Ford is taking his re-election bid to Hamilton to meet with Stelco workers, a day after he announced in Toronto his party had secured the support of a fourth trade union.
Ford is trying to position his party as the labour friendly option, but NDP Leader Andrea Horwath is accusing him of only paying lip service to workers.
“I’ve always been a supporter of unions. I don’t change my mind about support for unions and working people,” Horwath quipped on the campaign trail Tuesday.
The New Democrats are traditionally worker-friendly.
Horwath is travelling to Kingston and then Ottawa Wednesday to talk about her promised pharmacare plan.
Liberal leader Steven Del Duca is staying in Toronto to make an announcement on affordability before visiting Burlington to highlight his buck-a-ride transit promise.
Green party leader Mike Schreiner is in Parry Sound-Muskoka again where the local Green candidate is attracting voter attention.
