Canada’s Yannick Nezet-Seguin won a Grammy for “best orchestral performance” as conductor of “Price: Symphonies Numbers 1 and 3.
The 47-year old Montreal native, who is musical director of the New York Met, was nominated in 3 classical categories.
Canadian music legend Joni Mitchell won the best historical album award for “Joni Mitchell Archives, Vol. 1: The Early Years.”
A Tony Bennett, at age 95, won the award for best traditional pop vocal album with Lady Gaga for their ablum, “Love for Sale.”
