In a statement, released Friday Morning, John Tory said he decided to run for re-election in the fall after getting his family’s blessing and support.
Tory has spent much of his second term guiding Canada’s largest city through the COVID-19 pandemic and says he wants to continue leading the city as it continues to recover.
John Tory was first elected as mayor in 2014. He was re-elected in 2018.
The election is set for October 24th
