The first woman to serve as U.S. Secretary of State has died of cancer.
Madeleine Albright was appointed Secretary of State by-then President Bill Clinton’s and served in that role from 1997 to 2001.
She also served as United States Ambassador to the United Nations from 1993 to 1997.
Madeleine Albright was 84.
