Canada’s Joni Mitchell is joining a host of artistic giants with her latest honour.

The Alberta-born, Saskatchewan-raised, music legend has received an honorary membership into the American Academy of Arts and Letters.

She now shares that with the likes of fellow music legend Bob Dylan, five-time Academy Award winner Meryl Streep, ballet dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov and film maker Martin Scorsese.
