Celebrated Canadian-raised director and producer Ivan Reitman has died.
He will always be known as the man behind irreverent comedies like “Stripes” and “Animal House”, but his biggest success was the 1984 blockbuster hit “Ghostbusters.”
“Ghostbusters” went on to earn more than $300-million at the box office.
Reitman’s family says the 75-year-old, who was born in Slovakia and raised in Toronto, died peacefully in his sleep over the weekend at his home in California.
