Previews for Milan Fashion Week kicked off today.
Milan’s fashion houses were charting a path out of the pandemic that included a menswear calendar packed with 22 live runway shows and another 18 physical presentations this month.
However, like almost ever where else, the Omicron surge has thrown a spanner into the works and now there are significantly fewer physical events than initially planned.
Pandemic restrictions have tightened as Italy’s COVID infection tally hits record highs almost daily and Milan mainstay Giorgio Armani has cancelled all its shows entirely.
