Justin Trudeau says he needs to know more about Quebec’s plan to impose a financial penalty on the unvaccinated before deciding if he endorses the idea.
”Details matter.  We need to know exactly what measures they’re putting forward,” according to the prime minister.
”We need to know the terms and conditions so we can know if it’ll be effective.”
In the meantime, Trudeau says the federal government has tried to encourage Canadians to get their shots with vaccine mandates and travel restrictions.
With no word from Premier Francois Legault on when the tax would take effect or how much it would, only that he wants it to be ”significant,” Legault says there will be more details in the coming weeks.
