Fans of the Fab Four will be delighted to learn the band’s final live performance, on the roof of Apple Studios, is to be released in an hour-long production using Canadian developed IMAX technology.

The movie is called “The Beatles: Get Back-The Rooftop Concert.” It’s the result of director Peter Jackson reworking footage from a 1970 documentary that covers the making of the band’s final studio album.

The IMAX production is scheduled to screen in London January 30th with the director on hand.  It will be released to to all IMAX locations in North America later that day.

Jackson says he’s thrilled that the concert will be on the huge IMAX screen, adding it’s the absolute perfect way to see and hear it.
