With the Christmas period officially beginning with Christmas Eve this evening, there will be holiday closures and reduced hours to be aware off.
Banks, government offices, mail delivery will all be open today. The TTC and GO Transit will operate as usual. Grocery stores will be open, shopping malls will be open as well, but most will close at 6 p.m.
On Christmas Day, some grocery stores and pharmacies will be open but it’s best to check the hours ahead of time. Most skating rinks, parks and trails will be open in Toronto. The TTC and GO Transit will operate on Sunday service.
On Boxing Day most shopping malls and grocery stores will reopen. TTC will be running holiday service and GO Transit will be operating again on its Sunday service.
The statuary holidays are Monday and Tuesday next week and some businesses and services may be closed, including government offices and major banks.. However, shopping malls, grocery stores, pharmacies and the post office will be open.
GO Transit will operate on a Saturday schedule on both days. The TTC will operate as usual.
