While there’s a winter weather travel advisory for this evening and overnight from Kitchener to Kingston, whatever snow falls will not be around when you open presents Christmas Day.
Environment Canada says 2 to 5 cms (upwards of 2 inches) can be expected by the time it tapers off overnight.
”Snowfall rates are expected to be at their highest this evening and may cause impacts to the evening commute,” the weather agency’s advisory reads.
The forecast calls for a 60% chance of flurries overnight.  Risk of freezing drizzle with temperatures steady near 1.
Cloudy Christmas Day with a 30% chance of showers or drizzle late afternoon through evening, followed by some showers or drizzle late evening.  High 5 and remaining around there through tomorrow night.
The Christmas Day forecast calls for a cloudy day, 70% chance of showers.  Even milder with a high of 7.
