Acclaimed Canadian tenor John McDermott is back, and set to perform for the first time since the pandemic.
A friend to ZoomerMedia, John McDermott will be joined by The Northern Lights Choir for two shows on Saturday December 11th at Toronto’s Metropolitan United Church.
John told The Morning Zoom with Sam and Jane on Zoomer Radio, he’s thrilled to partner with The Northern Lights.
“This chorus has won international gold in 2013 and five-time silver medalists at the Barber Shop International Choral Society. They’re phenomenal. I recorded a song based on Christmas in the Trenches, that you guys have played a lot. Their arranger Steve Armstrong has done an unbelievable version of it, and I was going to sing it with them. And I listened to it and I said, oh no, this is just off the charts beautiful,” McDermott explained.
John McDermott plans to sing Ave Maria and O Holy Night among other classics.
