Ontario is reporting 1,164 new cases of COVID-19.
It’s the third-straight day with more than 1,000 new cases reported and the highest one-day addition to the province’s caseload since May 28. 1,273 cases were added on that day.
Fortunately, there are no new deaths from the virus.
579 of the new cases are in people who are unvaccinated. Another 69 are in patients whose vaccination status is unknown.
The seven-day running average is now up to 926. That’s up from 866 yesterday. A week ago, the seven-day average was at 766.
Locally, 152 of the new cases are in Toronto, 88 are in york, 81 in Peel and 56 are in Halton.
