Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole dodged a question about medical exemptions for Tory MP’s in the House of Commons.

To take their seats, all MPs had to show proof of vaccination or a medical exemption. Last week, O’Toole said all his MP’s were either vaccinated or had an exemption, which he was asked about today.

“As I said, we will always follow the rules, and we will work with the nurses and health authorities here on the Hill, they are not employees of the Conservative Party, we trust the Hill and we trust Canadians to do the right thing, and it’s time to see Mr. Trudeau and his team, to stop using the pandemic to divide people.”

Liberal House Leader Mark Holland calls into question the validity of the medical exemptions and says if the Tory numbers skew higher than the general public, then the math doesn’t add up.

Niagara West MP Dean Allison is so far the only caucus member who has been publicly identified as having an exemption.

Fully-vaccinated Conservative MP Richard Lehoux was diagnosed with COVID-19 on the weekend.
