The City of Toronto is ramping up its efforts to get kids 5-11 years old vaccinated against COVID-19.

Two-thirds of Toronto parents 'certain or somewhat likely' to get young kids vaccinated against COVID-19, survey says | The Star

Health Canada approved Pfizer’s vaccine for kids in that age group on Friday and now it’s a matter of making parents and kids comfortable with getting vaccinated.

“What you will see later this week is a network of hundreds of clinics in the City of Toronto receiving their supply,” said Joe Cressy, the chair of the Toronto board of health. “More than 450 pharmacies, five city clinics that will be administering 20,000 doses as well as 230 school-based clinics in the coming weeks.”

Cressy says city officials have been preparing for this rollout for months and are confident things will run relatively smoothly.
