In time for Remembrance Day comes an album entitled “The Guardian Angel Platoon.”

A Canadian veteran of the war in Afghanistan named Dennis MacKenzie is behind this.

The PEI native is advocating for the soothing qualities of music for those battling post-traumatic stress disorder.

MacKenzie was diagnosed with PTSD after a seven-month deployment to Afghanistan in 2007.  He received a medical discharge 2013.

The record is a concept album meant to draw attention to issues like the suicide rate among veterans.
