99 percent of Toronto city employees have reported their vaccine status. Of those, 98 percent have at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 94 % percent are fully vaccinated.

The city’s mandatory vaccine policy for all city staff to be fully immunized took effect on Saturday, October 30.

And starting this week, non compliant staff must meet with their supervisor to review their vaccination status and could face suspension for up to 6 weeks without pay.

Meetings will initially focus on those who have not received any doses of a COVID-19 vaccine or have not disclosed their vaccination status.

And for those with one dose, meetings begin the week of November 15th.

After unpaid suspension, staff members who do not provide proof of receiving both doses will be fired starting December 13th.
